Hi, I'm Chris Roth, but you might recognize me as the "Visio Guy" from my website www.visguy.com and forum www.visguy.com/vgforum. I'm also the author of Using Microsoft Visio 2010 (get it here: http://amzn.to/m5UNxf)
I've been using Visio since it was created in 1992, in fact my first job out of university was with the then extant Visio Corporation, which was later purchased by Microsoft in 1999. Working with Visio has really been fun. Customers always have interesting problems with interesting visuals to be created, plus I can work with my laptop in any coffee shop on Earth.
Having studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington, I tend to like technical applications of Visio such as CAD adjacency, wiring schematics, scaled plan views, etc., but of course many of my customers put me to work on rack and network diagrams, business process solutions and customized org charts.
I currently live in Munich, Germany, but am originally from Seattle, Washington, USA. If you need to contact me, keep in mind that I am 9 hours ahead of Seattle, 6 hours ahead of NYC, and 8 hours behind Sydney.
