A rocket engine exploded during a test at the SaxaVord Spaceport in Scotland on Monday. No one was injured as the launch site was evacuated before the test. But the fireworks made for a good show.

Microsoft Hosts Cybersecurity Summit
Microsoft announced on Friday that it will hold a summit on improving cybersecurity systems in September after the CrowdStrike outage. 'We look to bringing our perspective to the discussions with Microsoft and industry and government stakeholders on the need for a more resilient ecosystem,' a CrowdStrike spokesperson said.

Samsung's Odyssey 3d Monitor To Bring 3D Games Without Glasses
Samsung announced a new gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom that uses eye-tracking technology to convert 2D visuals into glasses-free 3D. The Odyssey is Samsung's first 3d Gaming monitor which boasts the ability to 'seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D modes".
