I play it on PC but just the PvE not the PvP battleground. They did a good job with the building aspects and the traps. There are many great video snippets of people doing clever things with the building and trap systems in PvP.

Yeah I have mainly playing the PvE as well but have been slowly getting into the Battle Royale with a friend of mine. Very stressful at times which is what I think I enjoy about that mode the most.

Co-op two player Battle Royale is great fun, really enjoyed this. Did you notice the slowdown following the Meltdown patching of the Fortnite servers?

Some of my friends who I play a different pvp game with have been playing Fortnite a lot lately.

I tried it a few times and was really put off by:
1.) The time to spawn into a solo match, from lobby to airbus, wasn't too bad. But when you end up getting shotgunned by someone a few minutes into the match, while you're holding a pickaxe, a couple of times -- it adds up to a lot of time spent for nothing. No respawn... go through the whole matchmaking process again.
2.) If you play with friends and you die early, you either have to sit through 10-15 minutes of boredom, or split out and go find a solo match.
3.) I really dislike games where the most effective technique to out maneuver someone heads-up, is pogo-stick jumping over and over and over. I get that Fortnite isn't supposed to be hyperrealistic, but still.
4.) Minecraft'ing a wall/fort in the middle of combat is pretty OP. I'd prefer if you could only use the obstacles built into the map for cover.

I haven't played PuBG, but I'm guessing it's more my style.

Otherwise, the graphics and battle royale concept are pretty cool. I'll probably give it another chance, but my initial feeling wasn't very positive.
