I like the idea but I also think they might loose money,  There are people that buy a lot of things that weren't their fist intention while they are searching for the product at the store.

@Daniella - but couldn't AR help cross-sell those other products as well? Like, if I buy some hot-dogs, the AR system could help remind me that I may need to get some mustard and hot dog buns, too :-)

I think is is convenient and cool. However, I don't like it because people need to walk around and interact with others.

I sincerely hope (and believe) that we'll be able to get away from the current situation of people constantly looking at their phones. For AR to really live up to its full potential, we'll have to have it in some way that doesn't involve looking down at a phone screen (since, as Juana noted, you still have to interact with the world and a mobile phone makes that terrible!).

Google Glass may have failed, but I think that was more a matter of the tech not being quite ready yet. Socially, people weren't ready for it, and the design of it was far too goofy/geeky looking to take off for any sort of mainstream adoption. (Not to mention a high price point for something so new, without clear benefits.)

But take a look at how Snapchat is working on their glasses and have tried to apply some decent style to it. And when you consider that Apple has been dropping tons of hints about seriously getting into AR, I imagine we're getting very close to good wearable solutions.

And perhaps one day, we'll get to have a direct brain interface. Elon Musk is already on it!
